Last week was an epic trip for me. For our elementary school senior trip, we went to Rocking Horse Ranch by New Paltz, New York. Have you ever been there? Let me share my thoughts and opinions about the experiences.
The Pools/Water park: At the Rocking horse Ranch they have they have two pools and two water slides. The indoor pool has one pool that has three buckets that pour water on you, the indoor pool also as a line of barrels that you have to get to the other side of the pool without falling in. Also, they have a very tiny splashdown area for your little ones. The last thing that the indoor pool has is the water slide. The water slide is a tubular slide that goes a decent speed and takes about twenty seconds to get from the top of the slide all the way two to the bottom. A good thing about the water slide is if it is not peak season at the Rocking Horse Ranch, the water slide will never have a wait longer than five minutes. At the outdoor pool they have a very big pool with a volleyball net and another water slide. The water slide outside does not have a roof so it is open. The slide takes about ten seconds and is very slow, so some parts during the ride you have to give yourself a little push.
The rooms: The rooms were very nice, clean, and comfortable. The room we stayed in had two queen beds and one bunk bed. Also, as soon as you walk into the room there is a hardwood foyer with some hangers for your clothes, a sink and and a bathroom with another sink. The room has a TV and a table with two chairs. Also the two queen beds have a night table in between the beds. The one thing I did not like about the room is the bunk bed is on the side of the TV so if you want to watch TV you either have to sit on one of the queen beds or on the floor in front of the TV.
The food: The Rocking Horse Ranch has a great variety of tasty foods from soft serve ice cream, to cheeseburgers, to croissants. Even if you are a picky eater during breakfast and dinner there is more than twenty food options for you during those two meals.
.
Activities: There are so many things to do at the Ranch like play mini golf, go bungee jumping, take out a canoe or pedal boat, play tennis, ping pong, pool, air hockey, foosball, volleyball, go to the shooting range, archery, playground, horseback riding,go to the arcade, play mini bowling, Banana boating (seven dollars per ride), Mountain tubing (ten dollars for three rides), and so much more!
